A residents survey was conducted over three weeks in February to March.  We received 315 returns representing 23% of the parish population.

The chart shows those who answered that they use each service either often or sometimes. Aside from the post office and shop, the Victory Hall has the highest level of use.  Babbling Brook was missed from the list but mentioned by many.

The graph shows those respondents who said they use the Victory Hall either regularly or sometimes for each activity as opposed to those who said they never access the activity.  Private parties is the most popular use followed by EDF forums, sports on the MUGA and attending Parish Council meetings.

The most popular requests were for an indoor sports hall, a gym, a social club, wifi and adult education.

The activities which attracted the most ‘No’ responses were the museum, tourist information, small business space, allotments and outdoor trim trail.

In additional comments many people mentioned toilets.

I think a gym and sports hall would be fantastic for adults and young up and coming adults as they so very need things to do and this would be so amazing for them as they can focus on being fit and healthy and something to look forward to each week also the kids cafe would be great many thanks Amanda brooks

After the period of presenting the proposals above and modifying to match comments, would it be possible to “prove ” peoples agreement & support responses by a practical demonstration of “attendance”; for example if want [ covered?] sports equip, say, all in favour turnup on a preferred evening at the Multi-sport area.
    I`m a bit sceptical of the top item from the survey as we don`t get any turn up to try tennis each year after an invite in Stog. News.
